2007-2008 Season Awards Announced

MVP – Tyler Moyer (Brookville, OH)

This award is given to the member of the OSU Men's Club Hockey Team who, through on-ice performance and off-ice leadership, has proven to be the team's most valuable player; a person who exemplifies the character and perseverance upon which the OSU Men's Club Hockey program is built. (as voted by the players)

Most Improved – Skylar Roosdett (Anchorage, AK)

This award is given to the member of the OSU Men's Club Hockey Team who has shown the most improvement over the season; a player who, through hard work and determination, has contributed to the current and future success of the OSU Men's Club Hockey program. (as voted by the players)

Unsung Hero Award – Mike Wylie (Beaver Falls, PA)

Given to the OSU Men's Club Hockey player who, through work ethic, determination, and leadership, achieves success; a player who, while representing the program proudly, does so in a quiet, unassuming manner. (as voted by the players)

Defensive Player Award – Dave Vanas (Mentor, OH)

This award is given to the player on the OSU Men's Club Hockey Team who excels in the defensive aspect of the game. Through work ethic, discipline, and determination this player has directly contributed to the success of our team defense and the overall success of the program. (as voted by the players)

Coaches' Award – Brock Bookwalter (Ventura, CA)

Through determination and character, this player has contributed in ways not seen on a score sheet. This player has made those around him better, while representing the OSU Men's Club Hockey program with class. Your efforts did not go unnoticed or unappreciated; the OSU Men's Club Hockey program thanks you! (as voted by the coaches)
